How long does the covering last?
Three to ten years is the manufacturer's warranty, depending on the type of cloth or film. In most cases we know it lasts a lot longer. It's very easy to reskin the structure after a few years, and relatively inexpensive; in fact, it would cost more to paint a solid building than to re-cover a Shadeworld structure. For example, only 5% of the value of a horticultural hothouse is tied up in the skin; the rest is in the aluminium framework.
What are the advantages of your structures, compared with the alternatives?
We use steel galvanised posts and aluminium extrusions, which are completely maintenance-free. Our structures are also very easy to erect. Finally, our special aluminium clip system makes it simple to attach or replace the covering.
Can we start with a small structure and expand later?
Yes. The structures are completely modular, so you can add extra bays on the sides, and extend the length at any time.
Won't the building get too hot for our plants or pool?
There are optional roll-up sides available, which can be operated manually. Vents can also be added to the roof at any time.
What sizes are available?
Our range starts with domestic structures 1.8 x 1.8 m, and can go up to approximately 12m to any length.
